Christina Chen is a designer pursuing a Master of Industrial Design degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, she proceeded to intern at an interior design firm. She decided to expand her scale of design possibilities by shifting her focus to industrial design. This shift has given her experience in various mediums including wood, ceramics, and textiles.
Christina is currently in her final year at RISD, where she is working on a thesis that explores ideas behind culture expression through apparel. Focusing on digital processes and experimentation through iteration, she seeks to bring textile and garment innovation into the modern age of technology, all while speaking to contemporary issues of today's society.
